Recently, our lab acquired a new, shiny piece of robotics. Say hello to the Opentrons OT-2! This little guy will be used to automate a lot of our pipetting tasks in the laboratory. In addition to the ability to work around the clock, our robot will be far more accurate and precise with the tasks given it than any human hand could be.
Several immediate uses come to mind, like allocating nematodes and creating serial dilutions for our chemical standards. We are stoked to have this machine in our lab and look forward to utilizing all of it’s capabilities. Now we just need a name for it… We are open to suggestions!
